BSCP carried out in 2003 the Industrialization Project for the "Mataró" Building, which, due to its respect for the environment and for complying with the parameters of sustainable architecture, was selected by the Spanish Government to represent Spain at the Sustainable Architecture International Conference of Tokyo in 2005.
In 2004 was finished the "Mataró" Building, doing what many thought was impossible: social housing with good quality standards. Therefore it was recognized as the best building by the Housing Ministry of Spain at the exhibition "Habitar el presente" in 2007, obtaining the highest marks among all the selected buildings.
This building was promoted by the public company Pumsa, the architectural design was drawn by Luis Grau and it was constructed by Construcciones Surava.
